Tiger Woods faces $30m lawsuit from ex-partner after locking her out of mansion

Erica Herman, Tiger Woods’ ex-partner, has accused him of locking her out of his Florida mansion by deceitfully convincing her to leave the property under the pretext of a short vacation.

In October, Herman reportedly filed a complaint as a landlord, stating that Woods denied her re-entry into the mansion.

According to court documents, Woods’ staff instructed Herman to pack for a short trip, but when she arrived at the airport, they informed her that she had violated the oral tenancy agreement and Florida law by being locked out of her home.

Herman further alleged that Woods intimidated her from returning and that he paid for a hotel room and expenses for a short period.

She also claimed that Woods’ employees took $40,000 in cash from her and made false allegations about how she obtained the money. Herman contended that she had an oral agreement with the golfer that allowed her to remain in the mansion for 11 years and that she had five years left when he terminated their relationship.

In the landlord’s lawsuit, she demanded $30 million in compensation for the remaining term of her five-year tenancy.

The complaint stated that by suing the trust instead of Woods, Herman attempted to evade her duty to arbitrate her allegations privately and instead sought leverage by litigating her disagreements with Woods publicly.
