Team Nigeria on Sunday moved to the Games Village ahead of of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games which is scheduled to kick off tomorrow, as Nigeria Ambassador to Japan, Alhaji Muhammed Hussain, charged the athletes to be good ambassadors.
Speaking with the athletes before they departed their Kisarazu training camp for the Paralympic Games Village, Ambassador Muhammad, commended them for their good behaviour while in the camp, as he urged them to make the country proud at the Games.
“You are our representatives and I want you to be good ambassadors and make the country proud. I also urge you to stay away from behaviours that can tarnish the good image of the country.
“Let’s show our natural strength and not involved in using banned substances. I know you can do it and as such, please go all out there and make us proud,” Muhammad said.

In his remarks, the Chef de Mission of Team Nigeria, Mr Peter Nelson, promised that the athletes would not disappoint, saying they were well-prepared for the Games.
“Your Excellency, inasmuch as I want to thank you for the support and the visit to the athletes which would also ginger them to win laurels; I want to assure you that the athletes will not disappoint; I have absolute confidence in them, they will maintain their good behaviour till the end of the Games,” Nelson said.
