Amid transfer talk on Neymar’s time at Saudi Pro League team Al-Hilal is nearing an end, linking him to a return to his old club, Santos, in Brazil, Vinicius has now spoken out and stated that it is “important” for the renowned winger to return to Brazil.
The former Barcelona player has not been registered by Al-Hilal for the second half of the Saudi Pro League season, and his contract is scheduled to expire at the end of the current campaign.
Speaking to TNT Sports Brazil, Vinicius said that Neymar “is our idol” and that they “hope he can return as soon as possible.”
The Real Madrid star said, “It is important for Brazil to have a player like Ney, even more so for Santos, which is his home. He is undoubtedly a Brazilian player who played so well in Brazil and was then able to make history abroad. I hope that he makes a calm decision and that he and his whole family are happy,” Vinicius concluded.
There is a chance that the two could play together on the big stage once more before the Barcelona legend formally passes the torch to the Real Madrid star. Neymar is optimistic that he will be healthy and fit enough to represent Brazil in the 2026 World Cup in the United States.
This January, there will probably be a lot more news about the Brazilian’s future because an Al-Hilal exit is likely. Neymar reportedly wants to find a way to end his deal with the Saudi team and go back to his homeland.
