Samuel Chukwueze
Liverpool FC of England have swelled the list of European clubs jostling for the signature of Super Eagles and Villarreal FC forward Samuel Chukwueze.
To underline their seriousness, Tribunesport has gathered that the club will soon be meeting with the Nigerian.
According to Futbol Picante, a Spanish soccer programme on Fox TV, Liverpool are open to selling Xherdan Shaqiri and replacing him with Chukwueze.
Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp was quoted on the TV show as saying “Chukwueze is a brilliant long term prospect” who has the potential to be a star for The Reds if he agrees to put pen to paper for the 2018/2019 Premier League runners-up.

Tribunesport learnt that Klopp wants someone like Chukwueze who can apply more pressure to the existing combination of Mo Salah, Sodio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
Tribunesport gathered that Liverpool Sporting Director Michael Edwards is currently holding talks with Villarreal’s management after which he will proceed to discuss personal terms with Chukwueze when the Super Eagles camp opens in Asaba on June 2 or in Egypt during the 2019 AFCON.
Chukwueze has been compared with Bayern Munich legend Arjen Roben because of his dribbling skills. Tribunesport had earlier reported that Tottenham Hotspur of England and Dortmund FC of Germany are also on the trail of the former Diamond Academy player.
Meanwhile, the two clubs are closely monitoring event as it unfolds on the Nigerian international with a view to making the move at the appropriate time.
Chukwueze’s move to Liverpool largely depends on the ability of Klopp to sell Shaqiri this summer window.
