Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, has accepted to join Galatasaray on loan.
According to a statement on Fabrizio Romano’s X handle on Monday, Napoli’s release clause has been reduced from €130m to €75m.
Fabrizio posted on X, “BREAKING: Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray, here we go! Deal done and all documents have been approved.
“Osimhen’s release clause will be €75m with Napoli option to extend until 2027.
“Loan move to Gala until June 2025, €9/10m salary covered.
“No buy option, no obligation.”
The move also gives the Nigerian forward an option to break the clause for January in case top clubs approach him over a move.
The news ends a busy week for the Nigerian forward after Chelsea failed to strike a deal for the Napoli striker last week.
Chelsea officials spent all of deadline day on Friday attempting to sign Osimhen but the Blues could not come to an agreement over his wages.
Napoli manager Antonio Conte has made it clear he will not select Osimhen after his proposed move to Stamford Bridge fell through.
Osimhen has been replaced at Napoli by £30 million signing Romelu Lukaku and Galatasaray have swooped to sign him.
The 25-year-old Nigeria frontman is due in Istanbul this week to seal his switch to Galatasaray, who drew Tottenham in the Europa League group stage.
Osimhen is said to have asked for a break clause to be inserted into the loan deal in case a top club targets him in the January transfer window.
Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli agreed a deal to sign Osimhen last week but he rejected a move.
