Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze dropped a scintillating performance against Real Madrid setting football Twitter ablaze with over 11,000 tweets pouring in to hail his heroics.
Chukwueze put on a masterclass display as Villarreal stunned Real Madrid with a remarkable 3-2 comeback victory at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Nigerian international was the standout performer, scoring two spectacular goals and providing one assist to help his side overturn a 2-1 deficit. Chukwueze was also the most successful dribbler in the match with six successful dribbles and won an impressive 10 out of 11 ground duels.
Fans have taken to social media to praise his outstanding display, while others have wondered why he has failed to replicate such form with the Super Eagles.
@Bayoradegboyega See Samuel Chukwueze sending Nacho to the wilderness, I have always maintained that this boy is talented, just some finesse in his finishing and Arjen Robben is back playing football.
