The tournament is scheduled to take place in the Dominican Republic between October 16– November 3.
Speaking after the draw on Friday where Nigeria will be playing the host country, Dominican Republic; Ecuador and New Zealand in Group A, Abdulwahab said she’s optimistic that Nigeria will scale the group and win the competition.

“That’s a great ambition to represent one’s country at the World Cup because is a huge honour. Hard work, dedication and a positive attitude will all be key in achieving our goal.”
The creative midfielder, a resident of Akinyele Local Government, Area of Oyo State, also praised the competence of their handler, Coach Bankole Olowookere, who worked hard to ensure the team’s qualification for the World Cup.
