Ladan Bosso, the head coach of Nigeria’s U-20 side, has downplayed his team’s 2-0 victory over Argentina, stating that it is not a significant achievement.
The Flying Eagles secured the win with goals from Ibrahim Muhammad and Rilwanu Haliru Sarki in the second half, defeating the Argentine team led by Javier Mascherano. Despite being considered underdogs, Nigeria’s U-20 team withstood pressure from the passionate home fans and advanced to the quarter-finals.

The victory ended Argentina’s impressive streak of 10 consecutive wins in the U-20 World Cup, a competition they have won six times.
Speaking after the game, Bosso commented on the result, stating, “We had a game plan against Argentina and we stuck to it. Beating Argentina is no big deal.”
The Flying Eagles will now prepare to face either Ecuador or Korea Republic in the quarter-finals, scheduled for Sunday.
