Antoine Griezmann
Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti has claimed that it would be “fantastic” if Antoine Griezmann joined the club from Atletico Madrid.
Griezmann has been linked with a move to the Spanish champions in recent months, although the most recent report suggests that the striker will turn down a move to La Liga.
Fellow France international Umtiti has said that he is good friends with Griezmann, although the pair have never discussed their futures.
“I talk a lot with Griezmann but not about this topic. We talk about Playstation, food, everything, but not about this,” the centre-back told a press conference.
“He is a great player and could help any team in the world. If he wants to come here, it would be fantastic.”
Griezmann scored 29 goals this season, including a brace in Atletico’s 3-0 Europa League final win over Marseille.
