University of Lagos Alumni Association have organized its Pre-Nigerian Universities Games (NUGA) in preparation of the 26th edition to be held at the University of Lagos from March 16 to 27, 2022.
The Alumni Association held a football match where four (4) teams comprising Federal College of Education (FCE) Staff school, University of Lagos Idi-Araba Staff School, University of Lagos Staff School, Akoka and Yabatech Staff School.
Speaking on this development, the Chairman, Olowojebutu Benjamin explained that NUGA is not only for athletes that are competing but also the community.

Olowojebutu stated that the essence is to encourage the students that sport is a very vital part of education.
“NUGA is not only for athletes that are competing. It is a community event and UNILAG is a big community.
“So, we want to make it stronger the importance of NUGA in the community of Lagos.
“As an Alumni, we want to make NUGA very powerful this year because NUGA starts in its fullest next month, March.
“We are trying to encourage them on the fact that sport is a very vital part of education.
“The event is strictly football where four schools-Federal College of Education (FCE) Staff school, University of Lagos Idi-Araba Staff School, University of Lagos Staff School, Akoka and Yabatech Staff School.” he stated.
