United agree Bakayoko deal

Reports in England claim that Manchester United have agreed a deal with Monaco for Tiemoue Bakayoko.

‘The Daily Star’ claims that Manchester United have agreed a deal for the Monaco midfielder. Chelsea had been heavy favourites to land the French international and agreed a fee in the region of £35m some time back.

However, since then the deal hasn’t really progressed and after Chelsea told Manchester United they would not sell them Nemanja Matic after Jose Mourinho’s side snatched Romelu Lukaku from under the nose of the West Londoners, the Portuguese has seemingly decided to cut out the middle man and sign Bakayoko instead.

The powerful midfielder was a star performer for Monaco last season as they won their domestic title and reached the Semi-finals of the Champions League and is expected to move on this summer.

The news of United matching Chelsea’s bid will come as further bad news to Antonio Conte, who is allegedly growing frustrated with the club’s inability to bring in his top targets.

It is believed that the decision will now rest with the player.
