‘Untouchable’ Bale will not be allowed to leave this summer

Reports in Spain have rubbished the idea that Gareth Bale could be allowed to leave Real Madrid this summer.

Spanish newspaper ‘Marca’ has claimed that Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane would not sanction the sale of Welsh wonder Gareth Bale, no matter the bid, as he sees the player as “untouchable”.

Bale, who is one part of the famed ‘BBC’ triumvirate, endured a tough season last time out, missing long spells through injury and seeing the likes of Isco perform well in his absence. As a result, he had been linked with a big-money departure this summer, with Manchester United and former side Tottenham Hotspur both suggested as possible destinations, however ‘Marca’ has rubbished these suggestions, stating that Zidane would not entertain a bid and that Bale has no desire to leave. The paper affirms that Bale is only thinking about next season with Real Madrid and helping the club retain their Chapions League and La Liga titles.

Rumours continue to circle about the future of Cristiano Ronaldo, though it is thought that his situation will be clarified when he returns from international duty with Portugal.
