Valencia, Sociedad eye West Ham star Hernandez

West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez could be set for a January switch to Spain with both Valencia and Real Sociedad interested, say reports.

El Gol Digital say the 30-year-old former Manchester United striker, who has started just three Premier League games so far this season, is keen for a transfer.

Mexico’s all-time leading scorer is said to want regular first-team football and is keen for a move to La Liga due to lack of game time at the East London club.

Hernandez spent the 2014/15 campaign on loan at Real Madrid, where he netted seven goals in seven league starts and has played in Germany and England since.

In an interview with Marca last month, the strike ‘did not rule out’ a departure from the Hammers: “My only desire is to play as much as possible and earn a starting place.”
