Arsene Wenger has weighed in on the long-standing debate over who is the greater footballer between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The former Arsenal manager acknowledged the incredible impact both players have had on the game, saying “When they [Ronaldo and Messi] will not be there anymore.
“We will realize what they have given us, both of them.”

He also declined to pick a favorite between the two, saying “I always refuse to make a hierarchy on that because they are two different players. Completely different players, but two exceptional players who have shown the world for 15 years how great football can be.”
Messi and Ronaldo have both dominated the football world for almost two decades with their incredible skills, memorable goals, and breathtaking moments, making it difficult to choose between them.
However, many have recently swung in favor of Messi due to his success in leading Argentina to a third World Cup victory.
