Vieira ‘disappointed’ with Arsenal ‘token gesture’

Arsenal have reportedly made contact with Patrick Vieira over the possibility of their former captain succeeding Arsene Wenger as boss.

However, Vieira is said to be disappointed at his former club.

That’s according to Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol, who claims the current New York City boss sees the offer as a ‘token gesture’.

On Tuesday afternoon, it was reported the former France international had slipped down the pecking order at the Emirates.

As a result, it was rumoured he had moved into pole position to take over at Ligue 1 side Nantes instead.
