The Black Stars of Ghana CHAN team on Sunday emerged champions of this year’s West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Nations Cup after beating their counterparts from Nigeria, the Super Eagles 4-1 in Cape Coast, Ghana.
Stephen Sarfo drilled a low shot at the blind side of goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa, to give his side a lead in the 44th minute.
Patrick Razak, who was introduced to the match as a substitute for Gideon Waja in 57th minute won a spot kick for his side after his first touch on the field of play and the spot kick was converted by Vincent Atingah to double the lead for Ghana.
Razak again won penalty for Ghana in 77th minute and was scored by Stephen Sarfo before he was substituted in 81st minute.
