The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria on Tuesday defeated Cote d’Ivoire U-17 national team in the semifinals of the WAFU B Zone U-17 Africa Cup of Nations Cup qualifiers.
The Nigeria team beat Baby Elephants 3-1 at the Cape Coast Stadium, Ghana to qualify for the final of the tournament and also grabbed a ticket to play at the next year’s AFCON.

The Ivorian forward opened the scoring for his side after converting a spot-kick in 2nd minute of the match before Eaglets star, Emmanuel Michael scored two freekicks to give Ugbade-tutored first half lead 2-1.
Abdulai Idris made it 3-1 in the 60th minute while the two goals hero for Eagles won the Man of the Match.
