We are not leaving Paris Olympics empty-handed — D’Tigress

The Nigerian women’s basketball team, D’Tigress has assured Nigerians that they will not leave Paris Olympics empty-handed.

Recall that D’Tigress opened up their Paris 2024 Olympic campaign, defeating World No. 3 ranked Team, Australia at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille.

The team will face France in its second game of Group B later today.

In a tweet on their official handle on the X platform, they thanked everyone who stood by them when they showed great character in their first match of the Paris Olympics by taking down the Basketball super-house to record a historic victory.

“We really want to thank everyone so much for all the love we’ve received as a team. It really meant a lot to us. Truly, now that the dust has settled, we are mentally locked in more than ever.

“Momentum was our focus word today in practice. One win is not enough. We are not going to settle for that! We made history.

“Regardless of any outcome, we stay the course, we stay together and we keep our eyes on the prize. We are not leaving here empty-handed.”
