Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro has reaffirmed the importance of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) to Nigerians saying it’s a must for them to win the title on Sunday against the host nation.
The Portuguese stated this on Saturday during the pre-match conference at Palais de la Culture in Abidjan, noting the match is going to be a tough one but his players are up to the task.
According to him, “Of course, we want to win after making it to the final of the competition. With a good atmosphere, both teams want to win. I’m happy and my team is happy also to reach the final. Until now, my boys are doing a fantastic job, amazing and I’m happy with our performance so far in the competition but we want to win.”
