Wenger’s patience wearing thin: £80 million for Lemar

The French manager has grown tired of arduous negotiations with Monaco and will double his initial bid to sign the winger.

Arsenal’s top priority after bringing in Lacazette is Lemar. Wenger has had enough of waiting and wants to sign the France international as soon as possible so that he can join the rest of the squad for pre-season.

The Gunners have doubled their initial offer of £40 million, submitting a £80 million bid to unlock negotiations, after Monaco decided to shut up shop.

Wenger wants to carry on his transfer activity this summer by signing the 21-year-old, especially if Alexis Sanchez leaves the Emirates.

Lacazette broke the club’s previous transfer record making a £52 million move from Lyon, and Wenger is determined to smash the record again.
