West Brom v Man Utd match winner, Jay Rodriguez
Chris Brunt wants West Brom to keep on winning – even if it fails to save them from relegation.
The Baggies are the toast of the blue half of Manchester after producing a shock win at Old Trafford to confirm City as champions.
The managerless outfit made a mockery of their position at the bottom of the table with a 1-0 triumph to embarrass Manchester United in front of their own fans.
Jay Rodriguez’s second half header was enough to secure just their second league win since August.
The Baggies are still nine points adrift of safety with just four games remaining and are destined for the Championship.
But Brunt reckons it is important to keep winning games to put them in a good place ahead of the start of next season.
Brunt said: “It’s probably too little too late, but it is a positive.
“We’ll take as many of these as we can between now and the end of the season.
“Obviously it buys you an extra couple of weeks, I suppose you never know what you can’t effect what’s going on around you.
“If we can win a few games between now and the end of the season, worst case scenario is it gives us some good vibes going into next year.”
