West Ham have let fans down ―Yarmalenko

West Ham winger Andriy Yarmolenko admits they need to work hard over the coming weeks to improve performances.

The Hammers head into the international break at the bottom of the Premier League and as the only club yet to pick up a point this term.

Four successive defeats have piled pressure on the players and new boss Manuel Pellegrini, who was handed plenty of financial backing over the summer.

Yarmolenko was one of a number of new arrivals at the London Stadium over the summer, however, the signings have struggled to settle.

The Ukrainian admits performances have been well under par and wants to see a massive improvement when they return to action against Everton.

Yarmolenko told West Ham’s official website: “I want to say sorry to our fans and we must perform better after the international break.

“It’s a difficult moment, of course, but we must sit down and think about our game and every player must think about his game.

“After two weeks, we must play better because we must play for our fans and for our club. This result is very, very bad for us and we must think about how we can improve our game.”
