The midfielder admits he is still as to how they dropped out of the NPFL title race
Idris Sabo is confident that Wikki Tourists have the ingredients needed to qualify for the 2017 Caf Champions League.
The Bauchi-based outfit play Sunshine Stars in the final match day of the 2016 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium on Sunday.
The hardworking lad is pleased with his own contribution this season and feels they are in with a very good shot at a second place finish.
“So far so good for me. My season with Wikki Tourists has been very good. We are pushing for a Champions League spot and not the Confederation Cup,” Sabo told Goal.
“We aim higher but if we end up earning a Confederation Cup ticket, we will give glory the God.
“I’d like to give credit to my teammates, technical team as well as the management – they have all given a good account of ourselves
“We can do it through humility, determination and hard work like we are doing at the moment.
“Sunshine Stars can’t stand in our way to success.
“By the time we beat them at our backyard, we can then look at other results and check our final position in the table.”
