Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane with Gareth Bale
Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane lauded his team for producing a ‘perfect’ performance against Paris-Saint Germain (PSG) in UCL round of 16 tie.
Real Madrid score twice at Parc des Princes on Wednesday to bag the game 2-1 and the tie 5-2 to qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition.
Zidane, who has led Madrid to back to back UCL titles in 2016 and 2017, lauded his team for putting up a ‘perfect’ performance against the Paris-based team.
“We played a perfect game. I am very happy, as you can see that whoever starts, and the substitutes, they all played a good game,” Zidane said.
Zidane also commended PSG saying that the hosts were not an easy team to beat and that it was 50-50 till the end.
“I don’t believe PSG have been weak or easy to beat. It started 50-50 and was until the end,” the 45-year-old tactician added.
