Zinedine Zidane fuels Manchester United talk

France legend Zinedine Zidane has fuelled talk of him replacing Jose Mourinho as manager of Manchester United.

The ex-Real Madrid boss has been without a job since June after leaving his role at the Bernabeu following their third consecutive Champions League win.

The Red Devils’ tough start to the season has seen Mourinho’s future called into question, with the Portuguese seemingly unhappy at various issues at the club, including the transfer policy.

Zidane has been linked with taking the role should it become vacant in the near future.

He’s even reportedly drawn up a list of possible new signings, including Toni Kroos, James Rodriguez, Thiago Alcanatara, and Edinson Cavani.

And when asked about whether he will return to the dugout in the immediate future he told TVE: “Certainly I’ll be coaching again soon because it’s what I like doing and what I’ve done all my life.”

Meanwhile, it’s also believed Man United star Paul Pogba would approve the appoint, especially considering his issues with Mourinho.
