Teenager’s great strike deals the win for Vincenzo Montella’s men after Juve had free-kick controversially disallowed
TEENAGER Manuel Locatelli’s screamer sealed a vital 1-0 win for AC Milan over Serie A champions Juventus.
The 18-year-old midfielder has only just broken into Vincenzo Montella’s starting XI and looks to be one for the future after making his mark at the San Siro.
Locatelli latched onto a sublime pass from former Liverpool man Suso before peeling off his man and finding the back of the net in style.
But Juventus will certainly feel hard done by after having a free-kick wrongly disallowed for offside in the first half.
Miralem Pjanic’s set-piece somehow found its way into the back of the Milan net from miles out.
The goal was originally given in Juve’s favour, but fierce protests from the home side eventually saw the teams remain level in a tense clash.
There were also more injury worries for Max Allegri after Paulo Dybala was forced off early with a hamstring injury.
The talismanic forward suffered the problem as he attempted an audacious shot from outside the box and had to be replaced by long-term Chelsea loanee Juan Cuadrado.
The win sees Milan close the gap on table leaders Juve to just two points, although they will be joined in second by Roma if the capital club beat Palermo tomorrow.
