Manchester United welcome Spurs to Old Trafford on Monday night for what looks like a must-win game for José Mourinho and his wards after enduring a horrible weekend at Brighton in this weekend EPL encounter.
So, who is coming out on top in the match on Monday? Read on to find out in my match day three predictions..
WOLVES VS MAN CITY
Last season, Wolves were as domineering as City in the Championship as they were winning games for fun and at will. But they have played two Premier League games against opponents that finished both games with ten men and still couldn’t win any (losing the last one 2-0 against Leicester last weekend). The Premier League is an entirely different terrain. And I think they will find City (the champions of the Premier League) too difficult to handle also.
MY PREDICTION: Wolves 0-2 Man City
SOUTHAMPTON VS LEICESTER CITY
I expect Southampton to try to win this one, having failed to win against Burnley at home in their first game of the season. Leicester are coming into this game without Jamie Vardy who was given a straight red card against Wolves last weekend. Not always easy to cope without your most influential player, but I expect Leicester to be very compact in defence and try to catch Southampton on the counter. I am going for a draw in this one, with Southampton more likely to win.
MY PREDICTION: Southampton 0-0 Leicester

ARSENAL VS WEST HAM
I am going for an Arsenal win here. Thought Arsenal could have won at Chelsea last weekend if they were able to convert two out of the four clear cut chances they had on the day. The team is slowly getting to understand Unai Emery’s philosophy and ideology, even as the manager is starting to know what his best eleven look like. I really see Arsenal having too much for West Ham (who have been bizarrely poor so far).
MY PREDICTION: Arsenal 2-0 West Ham
BOURNEMOUTH VS EVERTON
This game will be very exciting to watch, and it’s going to be very difficult game for both sides. Bournemouth are a difficult side to play at home and are coming into this game on the back of a win at West Ham. But I think if Everton turn up the heat (which I expect them to do), then I fancy the Toffees to get something from this clash.
MY PREDICTION: Bournemouth 2-2 Everton
HUDDERSFIELD VS CARDIFF CITY
I tipped this two sides to get relegated this season, and it’s already evident in their results so far. Huddersfield survived relegation last season by the skin of their teeth, but they will find this season too difficult to subdue another relegation battle. Having said that, I think they will win Cardiff City in this one. They defeated Manchester United last season at home, I expect them to have enough to see off Cardiff City.
MY PREDICTION: Huddersfield 1-0 Cardiff City
LIVERPOOL VS BRIGHTON
I know Brighton defeated Manchester United last weekend, but they will be very lucky if Liverpool don’t thrash them at Anfield on Saturday. Liverpool didn’t really impress last time out at Crystal Palace but they still came out of that one with a 2-0 win. Really shows their quality. Though, they can’t afford to underrate a Brighton side coming into this game on the back of a 3-2 win against Manchester United.
MY PREDICTION: Liverpool 3-0 Brighton
WATFORD VS CRYSTAL PALACE
Watford are really enjoying a purple patch at the moment, and I think they will get something again from this clash at the Vicarage Road. Palace really made things difficult for Liverpool last Monday and I expect the likes of Wilfred Zaha and Andros Townsend to cause Watford loads of problem. I am going for a draw because this game is really going to be difficult for both sides and it’s also difficult to call.
MY PREDICTION: Watford 1-1 Crystal Palace
FULHAM VS BURNLEY
I mentioned in my previous predictions that Burnley are going to find it difficult to combine playing league matches with continental football. Their squad is too thin and inadequate to survive the brunt of playing domestic football alongside continental football. Having said that, I think Burnley will still get something from this clash. Fulham haven’t really impressed with their football and results the same way they impressed many with their dealings in the transfer window.
MY PREDICTION: Fulham 1-1 Burnley
NEWCASTLE VS CHELSEA
I watched Newcastle last week against Cardiff and I was disappointed they couldn’t come out of that clash with a win, though, it was largely due to the profligacy of Kenedy in front of goal. The Brazilian squandered some begging chances and also missed a penalty that would have handed his side all three points. I think Chelsea will have too much for them on Sunday.
MY PREDICTION: Newcastle 1-2 Chelsea
MANUTD VS SPURS
I watched Manchester United against Brighton last Sunday and I honestly think United were fortunate to come out of that game with that 3-2 scoreline. They were so horrible to watch. Brighton were leading United 3-1 at the end of the first half, and United failed to show any urgency in their play in the second half. I thought that was disgraceful to the fans and they will get thumped by Spurs if they don’t up their game on Monday. But I think the players know they really hurt their fans (especially those that were at Brighton last Sunday) and I expect them to come up with a reaction in this game.
MY PREDICTION: Manutd 1-0 Spurs
