Captain, Ibadan Golf Club (IGC), Barrister Idowu Salami
No fewer than 170 golfers will be on set for the second edition of the Bar and Bench golf open scheduled to hold this weekend at the Ibadan Golf Club.
Speaking at a media briefing, Captain of IGC, Barrister Idowu Salami said logistics have been put in place to make the two-day event a memorable one.
Lawyers and judges would compete in different categories at the tourney alongside other amateur golfers.
Salami disclosed that the major sponsor of the Open is one of their own, who is the past President of the Nigeria Bar Association, Oyo State chapter, the Governor of Ondo State, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, adding that “we also have Rwanda Airline and Air France tickets for the winners.
“At least we will be having about 170 golfers across the country who have shown their interest in the two days event.”
The participants are expected to arrive in the course today for practice, while cocktail party holds by 7pm also today.
The Open would tee off at 6:30am daily on Saturday while the closing ceremony will hold also on Sunday.
