18-year-old Obinna jets out to Jerusalem for trial, possible signing in Israel first division

An 18-year-old upcoming football star, Onyedika Philip Obinna has moved to Jerusalem, Israel on the invitation of Hapoel Jerusalem in the country’s elite division.

The highly skilled attacker is also the top scorer in the ongoing Rising Stars Football League, Abuja, Nigeria.
He flew out of the country on Tuesday, 18th of June, 2024 for the football.

The Chairman of Chidex Football Club and Academy, Chidiebere Ogbu tasked him to go out there and become one of the world’s greatest of the game.

Prince Joseph Nwanze, the Executive Secretary of Chidex Football Club and Academy urged Obinna to focus on playing his football and be an ambassador of the Club, Nigeria and Africa both on and off the pitch.

The head Coach, Abdullahi Ndakolo Mohammed, his assistant, Abdullahi Salisu, Team Manager, Ogbu Michael Emeka, Captain, Eze Stephen Oluchukwu and teammates all wished the play well in his sojourn to greater things.

While assuring the team of his commitment to the game, Obinna thanked the management, staff and players of Chidex Football Club and Academy for their support in the past six years, which has brought him thus far and promised to be a good ambassador of the organisation on and off the field.
