21-year-old woman admits to stalking Mason Mount, Chilwell, Gilmour

A court has heard that TikToker Orla Melissa Sloan bombarded Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount with messages in a four-month stalking campaign after he ended their relationship.

Sloan, 21, pleaded guilty to stalking Mount, as well as his former teammate Billy Gilmour, 21, and harassing fellow Chelsea player Ben Chilwell, 26, at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

The court was informed that Sloan and Mount had slept together after meeting at a party hosted by Chilwell in November 2020. However, Mount later decided to end the relationship, which triggered a barrage of messages from Sloan.

Prosecutor Jason Seetal revealed that Mount asked Sloan to stop messaging him and blocked her number, but she continued to contact him using different numbers. A total of 21 different numbers were used, some of which contained collages of photos of Mount with other women.

The court heard that Mount became concerned about Sloan’s obsession with him and worried about her potential actions. In a statement, Mount expressed concerns that Sloan knew where he lived and trained, fearing she might turn up at his training center.

“Miss Sloan knows roughly where I live and where I train,” Mount said.

“I’m worried as if she is unable to contact me she might turn up at my training centre.”

The court also heard that Sloan targeted other professional footballers, friends, and family members, including Ben Chilwell.

Gilmour, who joined Brighton from Chelsea, stated that Sloan’s messages had a negative impact on his life, causing sleeplessness and affecting his performance.

“I have not been able to sleep and have had to take sleeping tablets,” he said.

“It’s had a negative effect on my performance and professional life.”

“Being in a new town where I don’t have my friends or family, it’s really upsetting.”

Sloan pleaded guilty to causing “serious alarm or distress” by stalking Gilmour and admitted stalking Mount and harassing Chilwell.

Sentencing was adjourned to June 20, and the judge warned Sloan that the offense against Gilmour was serious enough to warrant custody. She was granted unconditional bail.
