3SC unveil new players ahead NNL season’s opener

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan on Friday unveiled their new players ahead of the 2019/2020 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

The Oluyole Warriors will open their NNL campaign this season against Go Round FC on Sunday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.

Oyo State Sports Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr Seun Fakorede led the unveiling of 16 players at a colourful event, where he assured the management of the team of necessary support to enable 3SC gain promotion back to Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) at the end of the season.

He said the state government under the leadership of Engineer Seyi Makinde expects the best from the team.

“We believe so much that the best that they will put forward is going to be adequate to gain promotion back to NPFL that greatly desire and we are confident that with these players, with what I have seen so far and with the work that they’ve been able to put into the preparation for the NNL, I believe they would make the state proud same with the Crown FC of Ogbomoso,” Fakorede said.

Also, Special Adviser to the state governor on Youth and Sports, Mr Kazeem Bolarinwa, encouraged both teams to be united.
“No matter how they’ve been trying before, they can still do better because there is room for improvement. They need to play together and see each other as one.

“I believe by the end of the season by the grace of God, we will come out with flying colours because I believe we are playing the match together.”

Meanwhile, one of the new signings, Najeem Olukokun, assured fans of promotion ticket, as he called for total support and prayers from all stakeholders to enable 3SC to achieve their dream this season.

Present at the unveiling is the General Manager of the team Mr Rasheed Balogun, Team Manager, Dimeji Lawal, Coach of the team, Edith Agoye among others.
