Sevilla have reportedly rejected a €10 million [about N16 billion] offer from newly-promoted Italian club Venezia for Nigerian international, Akor Adams.
The former Montpellier striker has become one of the standout players since joining his compatriot, Chidera Ejuke at Sevilla from Montpellier in January 2025.
The Niger State-born scored 10 goals in La Liga last season and became one of the team’s key players during the run-in.
His performance last season attracted interest from several clubs in Europe, with a potential return to France with Marseille and Lyon believed to be waiting for his services.

There are reports that AC Milan are also one of the clubs eyeing the signature of the Nigerian international who scored Nigeria’s lone goal in the 1-2 loss to Portugal in an international friendly earlier this month in Leiria.
Meanwhile, Adams has downplayed the speculations on his summer exit from Sevilla.
“It is normal that during this period there will be rumours of transfer moves for a lot of players, and not just myself,” the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) bronze medallist told Footy-Africa.
“I am happy that my work is being recognised, but there is nothing to it. I have not spoken to my agent, and I do not take such things seriously because right now it is time to relax and recharge for next season.
“We did not meet our goals last season, so the focus right now is to see how we can challenge for European places next season. That is the goal, and I am not aware of, nor am I thinking about, all those transfer rumours.”
Recall that Adams netted ten goals and three assists in 32 La Liga appearances last season for Sevilla.
