Brazil star, Vinicius Junior, has warned his teammates to be wary of Japan, as both countries clash in the round of 32 at the ongoing World Cup.
The Real Madrid star boasts four goals in the tournament, one short of Lionel Messi, as France’s Ousmane Dembele also joined the Golden Boot race with four goals, following his hat-trick on Friday night against Norway.
Also in the hotshot race with four goals each are France captain, Kylian Mbappe, and Norway’s talisman, Erling Haaland.
Vinicius though, acknowledged the brilliance of the Samurai Blue, but insists that the Selecao are the better side.

“Japan have been one of the biggest surprises of this tournament. They’ve played with incredible discipline, intensity, and quality, and they’ve earned everyone’s respect with the way they’ve performed. But we’re Brazil.
“We respect every opponent, but we never step onto the pitch believing anyone is better than us. Japan are a very good team, but we believe we’re the better side.
“They’ll come with confidence, and so will we. It’s going to be a great battle, but our objective is simple to remind everyone why Brazil are one of the greatest football nations in history.
“We wish them the best, but we’re going there to win and show them how it’s done,” Vinicius said.
Meanwhile, the Selecao will take on Japan’s Samurai Blue tomorrow at 6:00 pm Nigeria time at the NGR Stadium, Houston.
