Roman Abramovich has approved plans to change Chelsea’s club crest, according to the Express.
It is understood that changes are being made to the font on the badge to ‘freshen it up’.
Back in 2005, Abramovich redesigned the crest upon his arrival at the club and is now planning new changes 13 years on.
Chelsea are currently in the process of ‘freshening up’ their badge.
Small changes are excepted with lion remaining whilst the current font will be altered.
The Express’ report states: “Express Sport understands the lion will stay but adjustments are currently being made to the font as part of a freshen up.”
Meanwhile, a source told the Express: “The crest is being redesigned. There won’t be massive changes but it’s being given a freshen up.”
Roman Abramovich is making the second round of changes to Chelsea’s crest.
