A draw in the upcoming game will be enough for the Super Eagles to secure their spot in the 2023 AFCON finals in Cote d’Ivoire.

Under the guidance of manager Jose Peseiro, Nigeria currently sits in second place in Group A with nine points, trailing leaders Guinea-Bissau by just one point. However, Guinea-Bissau has played one more game than Nigeria.

In their previous encounter, the Super Eagles emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over the Leone Stars.
