A member of Abeokuta Golf Club, Dotun Ajobiewe last Saturday emerged winner of the third edition of BOVAS Golf tournament held at the Tiger Golf Club (TGC), Ibadan.
Ajobiewe won the tournament after he played the Net score of 71 and 74 Gross.
Speaking after the presentation, Ajobiewe said he was so happy to emerge victorious despite the heavy rain witnessed during the tournament.
“I am very happy to win this tournament. In fact, I really enjoyed myself despite the wet course. The competition was keen and winning this tournament came with a lot of challenges, but thank God I still gave out my best,” an elated Ajobiewe told Sportingtribuneonline.
Earlier in his address, Captain of TGC, Mr Muyiwa Laniyan thanked the sponsors, BOVAS and the participants especially golfers from Ibadan Golf Club, Ikeja Golf Club, Ekiti Golf Club, IITA Golf Club, Mic Com and Country Golf Club, Ikoyo Golf Club, Ewekoro Golf Club, Abeokuta Golf Club, Ogbomoso Golf Club, UBTH who grace the tournament.

“I sincerely appreciate the BOVAS Chairman, Architect Bamidele Samson and the entire management of the company that despite the recession in the country, they were able to fulfil their corporate social responsibility. Also, chairman of the Local Organising Oranising (LOC) for the tourney, Mr Tunde Akande commended the commitment of the sponsor of BOVAS tournament in ensuring the continuity of the annual event.
“Despite the excruciating business climate, this amiable company whose reputation as one of the best oil and gas players with proven integrity has kept faith with Tiger Golf Club to ensure that this tournament does not die. We are not unmindful of the huge sacrifice by the company to accommodate this tournament,” Akande said.
