Akinwunmi Ambode
The Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode and his Akwa Ibom state counterpart, Gabriel Udom, are among dignitaries that would attend the 2017 edition of the Nigerian Sports Award scheduled to hold tomorrow in Lagos.
According to the Executive Director, Unmissable Incentives Limited, organisers of NSA, Mr Kayode Idowu, the event would be held at the Banquet Hall, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos from 5pm.
“I am very excited to announce that two of our sports loving governors, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and Governor Gabriel Udom have confirmed to be at today’s event,” Idowu said.
He stated that the organisers and the award panel are excited that the two governors as well as the Minister of Youth and Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung, among others would be available to grace the event.
The sixth edition of NSA has 16 categories of the awards to be won and these are: Sportsman of the Year, Sportswoman of the Year, Footballer of the Year Award (Male & Female), Ball Sports Person of the Year Award, Coach of the Year, Team of the Year, Discovery of the Year, Wrestler of the Year, Special Sports Person of the Year, Sports Administrator of the Year, Photo-Journalist of the Year, Journalist of the Year (Radio, TV and Print) and Sports Governor of the Year.
