Anthony Joshua survives car crash on Lagos–Ibadan expressway

Boxer Anthony Joshua on Monday morning survived a car accident at Danco Filling Station axis on the Lagos -Ibadan expressway.

It was learnt that two unidentified persons lost their lives in the crash.

Joshua was said to have been travelling in a Lexus Jeep marked KRD 850 HN at the time of the incident.

The vehicle was reported to have rammed into a stationary truck parked along the highway.

It was gathered that Joshua was rescued from the crash with minor injuries sustained.

At the time of filling this report, there is no official confirmation from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE).

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Command, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, said the boxer and others involved in the accident have been taken to the hospital for medical attention.

He said, “The Ogun State Police Command confirms a road accident today in front of Sinoma, before Danco, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway. Anthony Joshua and other injured persons have been rushed to the hospital.”
