Arsenal confident latest Lemar bid will do the trick

After seeing two bids rejected by Monaco, the Gunners are increasingly confident their latest offer will finally convince the French club.

Arsene Wenger is determined to sign the 21-year-old from Monaco, even favouring the Frenchman over Leicester star Riyah Mahrez.

The Gunners have had bids of £30 million and £40 million rejected, but Emirates officials believe that their next offer, which is understood to be over £45 million, will convince the French champions.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Wenger said: ‘He’s a player that we follow yes, we look at,’ the Frenchman said of the winger. ‘We are looking at more signings. But there’s nothing really concrete about any signings’.
