Atletico Madrid sell out UEFA Super Cup tickets

Antoine Griezmann’s contract renewal has energised Atletico Madrid supporters, with such enthusiasm seeing the club selling out of seats for the UEFA Super Cup.

There are also 97.7 percent of club members keeping their membership running for the coming season, and 20,000 membership applications on a waiting list, although the clash with Real Madrid in Tallinn on August 15 is no longer accessible for most.

A grand total of 1,320 tickets were sold by the club and these are not transferrable, with it understood there were less than 50 seats left on Thursday afternoon.

Atletico have maintained that any supporter who wanted to purchase a ticket has been able to do so, irrespective of seniority in their membership, as was the case in the Europa League final in Lyon.

One of the unique aspects of the UEFA Super Cup is that tickets can only be collected by fans in Tallinn on the day of the match.
