The latest chapter in the striker’s career got off to an ideal start as he scored twice for new club Nice to help them to a 3-2 win over Marseille, but he said he “didn’t get along” with either Brendan Rodgers or Jurgen Klopp on Merseyside.
“I joined Liverpool — it was the worst mistake of my life,” he said. “Apart from the fans, who were fantastic with me, and the players, who I had a good rapport with, I didn’t like the club.”
