Luke Shaw
Barcelona have been linked with a shock swoop for Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw this summer.
The Catalan giants are looking to bring in some competition for current left-back Lucas Digne when the transfer window reopens and, according to Spain’s Don Balon, they have identified Shaw as a potential target.
It would come as no real surprise to see the former Southampton man exit Old Trafford given Shaw has managed just six Premier League starts this season, and is behind Ashley Young in the pecking order.
United manager Jose Mourinho has publicly critcised the 22-year-old on occasion and stated he didn’t think Shaw was ‘aggressive’ enough in the FA Cup win over Brighton last month.
It seems as Barcelona haven’t been put off by Shaw’s failure to impress Mourinho in Manchester and Spanish reports say they could make a move when the transfer window reopens.
