Barcelona in talks to sign Willian from Chelsea

Barcelona is in talks to sign Chelsea forward, Willian in the January transfer window, having contacted the Brazilian’s representatives.

The 30-year-old has been linked with a move to Camp Nou in the past, with the Blues reportedly rejecting three bids for him in the summer.

La Sexta, via Metro, believe it is a transfer that could be imminent, however, with Willian’s current deal at Stamford Bridge expiring in the summer of 2020.

Barca’s out-of-favour wide man Malcom could be offered as part of a swap deal, having appeared just three times for the La Liga champions this season.

The youngster has flattered to deceive since a controversial summer move from Bordeaux and is unlikely to be part of their long-term future.

Chelsea showed an interest in Malcom prior to his switch to Spain, so it is a deal that could benefit all parties.

Willian has been a great success since moving to Stamford Bridge from Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013, winning two Premier League titles and proving to be an important member of their attack.

He has 47 goals in 253 appearances for the west Londoners, as well as 64 caps for Brazil.
