Katsina United midfielder, Usman Bello, has expressed joy at his club’s promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Playing at home, Katsina United defeated Kogi United by a lone goal on the last day of the league to gain promotion to the elite division.
Bello, who scored the goal which gave his side promotion after close to 20 years drop from the top flight league was full of praise to God for his team’s promotion.
He, though commended the technical ability of the coaching crew, he attributed the success to the determination and seriousness of the players which he said should appreciated.
“I am so excited and overwhelmed with our promotion to the elite division of the league and more importantly scoring the only goal that sealed our promotion. Playing in the NPFL has been my dream and I’m happy this came through me.”
