According to reliable sources, Bernardo Silva has expressed his desire to leave Manchester City during the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old midfielder, whose contract with City runs until 2025, played a pivotal role in the team’s historic treble, particularly shining in the Champions League where he scored a notable brace against Real Madrid in the semi-finals.
Silva has enjoyed a successful stint at City, winning a total of 14 trophies since joining the club in May 2017 from Monaco for a transfer fee that could exceed £60 million. However, despite the continued success of the Manchester club, Silva’s future there has become increasingly uncertain.

Back in August 2022, amid strong links to Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, Silva openly stated that while he was content at City, he had uncertainties about what the future held for him. Subsequently, in September 2022, 90min reported that Barcelona had identified the Portuguese international as one of their top transfer targets, and they even made an unsuccessful inquiry in January.
Silva had previously expressed his desire for a new challenge to the City hierarchy, and it is now understood that he has reaffirmed his intention to leave this summer.
Manchester City is reportedly open to negotiations, provided they receive an offer in the region of £75 million.
