BREAKING: Ibrahim Gusau elected as new NFF president

Ibrahim Gusau has been elected as the new President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)

Gusau emerged the winner after polled 39 votes ahead of other contestants in the election held in Benin, Edo State on Friday.

Former Nigeria International, Peterside Idah polled a vote after the trio of Seyi Akinwunmi, Shehu Dikko and Abbah Yola withdrew from the race after the first election.

In the first election, Seyi Akinwunmi polled 12 votes Shehu Dikko had 6 and Abah Yola 1 vote.

The trio however refused to go into rerun which eventually gave Gusau the edge.
