BREAKING: Kurt Zouma signs new deal with Chelsea and joins Stoke City on loan

Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has joined Stoke City on loan after signing a new six-year contract with Antonio Conte’s side.

The deal will be seen as something af a coup for Mark Hughes’ side with Zouma considered to be one of the most talented young defenders in world football.

The strapping stopper has made 71 appearances for Chelsea since joining from Saint-Etienne in 2014, but was limited to just 3 Premier League starts last season as he recovered from a serious knee ligament injury sustained against Manchester United in February 2016.

The 22-year-old will be hoping to get plenty of game time in the Potteries as he looks to break back into the France fold ahead of next summer’s World Cup in Russia.
