CAF Champions League: MKO Abiola Stadium ready for Plateau, Esperance game

The Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja is set for the second round of CAF Champions League game between former Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, Plateau United of Nigeria and four-time CAF Champions League winners, Esperance of Tunisia.

Tribune Sports was at the stadium on Thursday and observed that the pitch has been put in proper shape ahead of the Sunday game with the grass well trimmed and greener.

Tribune Sports gathered that the advanced team of the 32-time Tunisian League winners arrived Nigeria on Wednesday, inspected the grass at the stadium as well as the dressing room.

Plateau United qualified for the second round of the lucrative Champions League after a 3-2 goal aggregate against Gabonese club, AS Stade Mandji.
