Chelsea agree £40m Bakayoko deal

Chelsea have come to an agreement with Monaco over a £40m deal for Tiemoue Bakayoko, after the move last month was delayed due to a minor knee issue.

As reported by Sky Sports, Chelsea have finally reached an agreement with French champions Monaco to sign midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko for £40 million.

The 22-year-old was set to join the Blues last month, but his medical was delayed due to the player needing minor knee surgery.

Bakayoko, who starred for Monaco as they lifted the Ligue 1 trophy and reached the Champions League semi-finals, will undergo a medical later this week before his long-awaited move to Stamford Bridge.

The France international’s arrival could see Nemanja Matic make the switch to Manchester United, but Chelsea are understood to be reluctant to sell to Mourinho after he swooped in to sign Lukaku.
