Leonardo Bonucci
According to ‘Tuttosport’, Chelsea are preparing a £48million move for Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci and have not given up hope of luring his team-mate Alex Sandro to Stamford Bridge.
‘The Daily Mail’ claims that rumours of a rift between Bonucci and Juve boss Maximiliano Allegri have been circulating in the Italian press, leading to a renewed hope that the Premier League champions can tempt him away.
‘CalcioMercato’ reports that Conte’s side will offer Bonucci a bumper £117,000 a week to join the club. Though ‘The Daily Mail’ claims that at this moment in time, their pursuit of Alex Sandro is the one that is more likely to bear fruit. The Italians turned one offer for the player down last week but Chelsea are said to be readying another approach.
Juventus’ much vaunted defence could be dismantled this season, with Sandro, Bonucci and Dani Alves all rumoured to be leaving Turin.
Antonio Conte was allegedly starting to grow frustrated with the lack of movement in the transfer market before he held positive talks with club officials recently.
